Anthony A. v. Commissioner – appellate win finding DOC violation of due process
Antonio A. v. Commissioner – appellate win holding that habeas court cannot decline to issue a writ at the outset of a case where an inmate appears to be presenting a justiciable claim
Joseph Stephenson v. Commissioner II– appellate win reversing dismissal of habeas on mootness
United States v. William Tisdol – granting motion to suppress cell phone evidence after Government’s failure to obtain a timely search warrant
L.B. – absolute pardon for charges of possession of narcotics, use of a motor vehicle without permission, breach of peace, risk of injury, assault in the third degree, threatening, sexual assault in the first degree, interfering/resisting arrest and a violation of probation
State v. R.B. – granting of juvenile parole after 30 years in prison on a 50 year sentence

2022-2023:

United States v. Dewayne Joyner – on appeal to the Second Circuit, sentence vacated and remanded based upon Government’s failure to prove drug quantity at trial
State v. Belcher – on appeal to the Connecticut Supreme Court, sentence vacated where defendant received life-sentence based upon discredited super-predator theory
State v. V.S. – sentence commuted from 45 years to 25 years
United States v. Ronell Hanks – compassionate release granted, reducing sentence from 17 years to 8 years
State v. Dickson – sentence reduced from 25 years to 17 years
State v. Weaver – sentence reduced by 6 years
State v. Jordan – sentence reduced from 45 years to 25 years
Saunders v. Commissioner of Correction – appeal to the Conn. Supreme Court, remanding case to habeas court for further proceedings regarding competency
Sease v. Commissioner of Correction – appeal to the Conn. appellate court, remanding case to habeas court for further proceedings related to determining competency of counsel at sentencing
Stephenson v. Warden – conviction overturned and remanded to criminal court for further proceedings
State v. C.K. – sentence commuted from 35 years to 18 years
State v. Taylor – sentence commuted from 60 years to 28 years
State v. S.N. – juvenile parole granted, releasing client 17 years early from a 45 year sentence
United States v. Isaiah Halliday – compassionate release granted, reducing sentence from 108 months to 55 months
Ravon Donald v. Commissioner of Correction – ineffective assistance of counsel at sentencing stage; re-sentencing ordered
